Elenger will start offering natural gas to households

One of the largest and fastest growing private energy groups in the Baltic region – Elenger will start selling natural gas to households when the Latvian gas market opens for free trade on May 1.

“Our company has been operating in the corporate segment of the Latvian market for five years, so the next step – to offer natural gas to Latvian households as well – is logical, balanced and corresponds to the strategic goals of Elenger. We believe that the entry of a new market player will certainly benefit gas consumers in Latvia, providing them with the opportunity to choose the most suitable supplier for them,” says Dāvis Skulte, a member of the management board of Elenger group and head of SIA Elenger.

“We have already become one of the largest suppliers of natural gas in the segment of corporate customers in Latvia, offering an alternative to the existing gas monopoly,” says Dāvis Skulte.

Elenger is the largest private energy company in the Finnish-Baltic region. The company offers natural gas in the form of pipeline gas, compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG), and also manages Estonia’s largest natural gas network. Elenger is an internationally known and active energy trader, which not only provides natural gas and electricity trading, but also develops a renewable energy portfolio in the form of solar energy and biomethane production and sales.

Elenger operates in Finland, the Baltic States and Poland. The group currently has a total of 50,000 customers. In the Estonian market, the company is known as Eesti Gaas.
