Elenger is already the second largest natural gas trader in the legal customer segment in Latvia
According to information provided by the Public Utilities Commission (PUC), in 2018, Elenger (EG Energija SIA) managed to sell the second largest volume of natural gas in the legal customer segment, excluding Latvenergo’s own consumption. (Source: db.lv 23.01.2019)
“We started establishing our organisation in Latvia one and a half year ago and have by now secured a significant share of the wholesale market. We are now moving into the Latvian retail market, which means rendering services to companies and apartment owners’ associations,” Dāvis Skulte, the CEO of Elenger Latvija, noted.
Eesti Gaas, is expanding its operations in Latvia, entering the retail market as Elenger.
The name “Elenger” recounts a story about energy, gas, electricity and LNG. In Estonia, Elenger uses the trade name Eesti Gaas. The company runs the largest gas supply network in the country and also operates in Finland and Lithuania.
The group has a total of 50,000 clients and 240 employees. In addition to supplying customers with natural gas through pipelines, CNG and LNG, the company sells electricity and specializes in the development of various energy production solutions.
