Natural gas – clean, convenient, competitive
Elenger is the provider of the service of supply of last resort in Latvia for non-household consumers from 1 September 2024.
In accordance with the Cabinet Regulation No. 78 “Regulations Regarding the Trade and Use of Natural Gas”, supply of natural gas within the scope of the service of supply of last resort shall be provided for a period not exceeding six calendar months to the following:
- The system user if it has a single valid natural gas trade contract with the trader that has terminated trade in natural gas.
- The owner of the gasified object if natural gas is used in the gasified object without a valid natural gas trade contract and the system user or the owner of the gasified object has not provided the distribution system operator with a possibility to discontinue the supply of natural gas in the gasified object.
THE NATURAL GAS PRICE FOR supply of last resort (SLR):
PPGP = TTFfm + X, EUR/MWh, where
PPGP – the price of the service of SLR, EUR/MWh,
TTFfm – the arithmetic average of the daily settlement price of the front month Title Transfer Facility in the particular month, EUR/MWh,
and
the fixed fee: 21.00 EUR/gasified object per month.
IN ADDITION TO THE PRICE FOR THE SERVICE OF SLR, THE FOLLOWING IS APPLIED:
- costs of natural gas distribution system services;
- costs of the transmission system service – exit point for the supply of Latvian users;
- natural gas excise tax;
- value added tax in accordance with the current regulatory enactments.
