“The solar power plant in Olaine is another significant step towards our goal – to strengthen the renewable energy portfolio in Latvia and the Baltic region. The growing demand for sustainable energy solutions encourages us to continue investing in such projects, and this power plant is a testament to the fact that green energy is becoming increasingly accessible to our clients as well – the green electricity produced will also be directed to supply ‘Elenger’ customers,” emphasizes Dāvis Skulte, CEO and Chairman of the Board of SIA “Elenger.”

“The solar power plant in Olaine is already our second solar energy project in Latvia – last year we launched the first power plant in Nīca, which we are enhancing this year with an energy storage system (BESS). Additionally, this year we have also completed the first commercial biomethane, or green gas, transaction in Latvia. These projects collectively mark our strategic direction in the field of renewable energy, promoting the development of a more sustainable and greener energy sector in Latvia.”
